Ballarious Support

Help with the game, and how to reach the person who makes it.

Something wrong, or a question? Email ergyn.pelinku@gmail.com. A real person reads every message. It helps to include your phone or computer model, its system version, the build shown at the bottom of the game's Settings, and what happened just before.

How to play

Common questions

There is no sound

On iPhone, the game follows the ring/silent switch (or the Action button's silent mode), like most games: switch silent mode off. Check the sound button at the top right and Settings → Music, Music volume and Effects volume. The game plays alongside your own music rather than stopping it.

The game paused by itself

That is on purpose: it pauses whenever you leave it, when Control Center or a call comes up, or when the browser tab is hidden, so you never lose a race to an interruption. Press resume.

My progress is not on my new iPhone

The iPhone app keeps your progress in your own iCloud. On both iPhones, sign in with the same Apple Account and make sure iCloud is on for Ballarious (Settings → your name → iCloud). Open the game on the old iPhone once, then on the new one; iCloud can take a little while to bring it across, and the game picks it up the next time you are on its home screen. The web version has no iCloud: use Settings → Back up my progress, then Restore from a backup on the other device.

"The graphics stopped"

Your device took the graphics processor away, which can happen when memory runs low. The game first waits a few seconds for it to come back and carries on if it does; if it does not, press reload the game. Your saved progress is safe either way. If it keeps happening, set Settings → Graphics to a lower setting and tell us.

It runs slowly or the phone gets warm

Settings → Graphics: Auto adjusts to your device by itself; Medium or Low lowers the work for older phones.

I played at the old address

The web game moved from ballast-3jm.pages.dev to ballarious.com. Open the old address (or your old bookmark or home-screen icon) once in the browser you played in: it takes you to ballarious.com and brings your progress along, merged with anything you have played there. After that, use ballarious.com. If the move cannot be made, the game says so and stays at the old address with your progress untouched.

A challenge link opened in the browser

Challenge links open the web version of the game, which plays the same race. That is expected.

Where is the leaderboard in the app?

The app has no internet access at all, so the global leaderboard is on the website only, and there it is off until you switch it on. Its scores are not verified. Your own best times and your ghost work everywhere, offline.

The browser says progress is not being saved

Private browsing, or a browser set to block site storage, keeps progress only until the tab closes. Use a normal window, or back up your progress before closing.

Start over

Settings → Delete my data (tap twice) erases everything on that device, and on iPhone the iCloud copy too. It cannot be undone.

Making the game comfortable

All in Settings: Text size; Reduced motion (calmer camera, fewer flashes); Screen flashes and Impact pauses on or off; Vibration on or off; On-screen buttons for every move; Jump assist, which jumps the gaps for you; Race pace for a gentler speed; Countdown after pause; and Keyboard controls to change any key. A gamepad works too.

Reporting a problem

  1. In the game, open Settings → Diagnostic report. It copies a short report: the game version, your device or browser type, language, screen size and recent error messages. Nothing is sent by the game.
  2. Paste it into an email to ergyn.pelinku@gmail.com with a sentence about what happened. A screenshot or screen recording helps too.
